Our Economy Grade Natural Veg Tan shoulders offer extremely good value for money. A reasonable quality at a great price.

These shoulders are available in small sizes or half shoulders where applicable, and so offer the perfect starting point for the novice leather-worker and those just starting out in leathercraft: you can practise your skills without breaking the bank. Then once you’ve mastered your craft you can consider progressing onto the regular and even premium grades.

These are of a lower quality, with marks, blemishes and more irregular shapes. Great for re-enactment. Not suitable for belts.

If you’re after a really tough and stiff veg tan, this is what you need.
Edges slick beautifully and whilst tooling takes a good amount of effort, it holds the forms really nicely.
Ideal for stiff, structural panels on bags (I use it for the front panels of sporrans)
Make sure your knife is freshly sharpened!

A great buy, in my opinion. For economy I was expecting marks and damage all over, this was not the case. A beautiful piece of leather with only one slight flaw that is obvious (and easy to work around).
A good, stiff, workable leather. I’ve just finished a knife sheath out of it and am really happy with the results. I’d definitely buy again

A good strong leather with very little by way of imperfections considering it is the economy stock. Would defiantly consider buying it again.

Ideal for the price paid. Nice light tanning so it colours well. Great for wet moulding. NIce on the flesh side too.
