The leather we stock and supply is a by-product of the meat trade, leather is one of a number of secondary products from the process. The cost to the environment in rearing the livestock is the same irrespective of whether the leather is used or not.

The environmental impact of the tanning process is variable and depends on the type of process, the sophistication of the process (re-cycling of materials used), and the level of technology. We use reputable leather suppliers.
